I am an independent Graphic artist based in Johannesburg

Could you give me a short bio of yourself

I am a Bulawayo (Zimbabwe) born, self developed Graphic artist who has been described as a contemporary illustrator, activist, street-artist, and multi-disciplinary graphic designer. I obtained a BTech degree in Graphic Design from the University of Johannesburg and have worked as an illustrator and art director in the South African advertising sector.

Limited edn. Print/poster for the docu-series ‘My Africa Is’

Please explain the project to us in detail (journey, inspiration, message, influence, and what are you trying to communicate through your creative outlet.

Illustration and (ltd. Edn) poster design for 'My Africa Is', a documentary series that exposes a balanced side of Africa. The series follows change-makers in various cities across sub-Saharan Africa – they are young, doing some really cool things, and starting a new conversation. Their stories are real; some subjects will inspire, others will provoke, but each one will challenge what you thought you knew and reintroduce you to OUR Africa.

Each episode takes you on a trip to a different location, discovering the uniqueness of each city and appreciating Africa’s diversity, as the series brings it all together

What advice would you give to other creatives?

Treat every opportunity as if it’s your only one and keep creating.
